Website Redesign
Craigslist Redesign
PROJECT
Craigslist is a website that people can use to buy and sell, hire, create posts, and more. In order to revamp the original cluttered and unorganized design, I redesigned a task flow for users with a focus on improving usability.

Project Overview
Craigslist’s current design does not offer the best user experience possible.
The design is cluttered, confusing and overwhelming. There is a lack of hierarchy and the information architecture is excessive. My goal was to create a better user experience.
/ User Testing
User one:
-Had trouble finding where the category they were looking for was on
-Didn’t like the cluttered design
-Didn’t apply filters
User two:
-Had trouble putting in the location they wanted to search for
-Had trouble sorting through all the filters
-Didn’t apply filters
My Analysis:
-Craigslist needs more exit buttons to get back to a user’s previous state
-The way to complete actions needs to be simplified for easier understandability
-There could be a use of existing paradigms in UI to make completing tasks easier (ex. using a trash to delete instead of hide listings as it currently does)
/ Benchmarking
Insights:
-Categories can be organized in the top header of the website with drop downs for each category
-Location should be easy to find and select, inclusion of location in top bar
-Ease of differentiating For Sale and Selling listings is important
-Ease of saving listings and setting alerts for searches can be helpful
